Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Eastern Territory is seeking a music educator to provide one-on-one and group instruction in vocal and brass disciplines. You will lead the Corps Brass Band and Singing Company, fostering a supportive environment for youth musicians.

You will organize and maintain all music department equipment, coordinate Music Sundays, and assist with Star Search participation and logistics, while encouraging broader youth engagement in arts programs.

Qualifications

• Must be bilingual English/Spanish with strong communication in both languages.
• Musical ability in Brass Band, Theory, Vocal, and other instrumental instruction.
• Associate degree or two years of college in education, youth work, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one lessons (KeepSAfe guidelines) and group vocal instruction.
• Teach and/or lead Corps Brass Band and Singing Company.
• Secure, organize, maintain and upkeep equipment, instruments, and files of the Corps music department.
