Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a dedicated individual to lead music and arts programs within the corps and community. You will plan and teach music theory, performance skills, and related activities, while aligning with the corps mission.

You will organize recitals, support summer camps, and work with leadership to engage participants in meaningful and faith-centered activities. Strong teamwork and commitment to the mission are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in music preferred, or extensive experience teaching music.
• A minimum of two years’ music experience working with children/adults. Performance experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead music and arts programs within the corps and implement weekly music curriculum.
• Plan and attend recitals, and prep corps music programs for year-end concert.
• Encourage participants to develop musical skills and self-esteem through structured activities.
• Organize performances and community events to promote the corps' mission.
• Support campers and summer music programs to foster talent and spiritual growth.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
