Job summary

Greater Lawrence Family Health Center (GLFHC) in Massachusetts is seeking an experienced Mental Health Counselor to work within the Behavioral Health Team. Under LICSW supervision, you will counsel GLFHC patients referred by primary care clinicians and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team.

The role involves assessment, care planning, individual/group/family therapy, and developing community referrals. Bilingual English/Spanish and LICSW-related supervision support are required.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited program.
• Bilingual, English and Spanish.
• BLS Certification.
• Massachusetts Child & Adolescent Needs and Strengths (CANS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Serves as liaison between patients, family member and health care team. Educates patients and family about behavioral health treatment.
• Reviews biopsychosocial history and completes assessment and care plan.
• Provides short term individual, group and family intervention; collaborates with community providers.
• Develops and facilitates support groups.
• Assists in referral and coordination of services within GLFHC and community agencies.
• Maintains patient educational materials and participates in quality improvement activities.
