Job summary

Polish & Slavic Federal Credit Union in New York is seeking a Teller to provide courteous member service, process routine transactions, and support cross-selling of PSFCU products. The role requires bilingual Polish and English communication, strong customer service, and familiarity with branch operations.

The Teller will handle deposits, withdrawals, loan applications (non-real estate), wire transfers, account maintenance, and online banking setup while representing PSFCU in community events

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of work experience.
• 1 year of Teller experience.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to cross-sell PSFCU products and services.
• Fluency in Polish and English (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

• Represent the Credit Union to members in a courteous and professional manner; provide prompt, efficient and accurate service.
• Develop understanding of PSFCU philosophy, bylaws and procedures.
• Provide information about Credit Union products, services or policies in person or by phone.
• Respond to member requests, problems and complaints; direct to proper person/department.
• Handle member mail and incoming documentation; other mail processing as needed.
• Develop relationships with PSFCU vendors; participate in community events.
• Perform routine teller transactions and related duties as needed.
• Open/close accounts and shares; manage wire transfers; update addresses; issue checks and drafts.
• Set up online/mobile banking access; service existing accounts; assist with loans and credit products.
