Job summary

The YMCA of San Diego County is seeking a Member Services Representative at the Jackie Robinson Family YMCA to build positive relationships with members, participants, volunteers and staff. You will provide excellent customer service, handle inquiries, process memberships, and guide members to programs aligned with their goals.

The role requires teamwork, strong communication, and flexibility to work weekday evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of sales and relationship-building experience preferred.
• CPR/AED and First Aid Certification, must include Adult and Child/Infant, obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Fingerprinting is required for YMCA staff per policy.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships with members, participants, volunteers and staff.
• Educate members about YMCA programs and benefits; promote memberships.
• Answer incoming calls courteously and route to appropriate departments.
• Process memberships, upgrades/downgrades, and renewals with accuracy.
• Assist in member interviews to connect individuals to programs and services.
• Conduct member engagement and retention activities, including debt collection and renewals.
• Ensure proper cash handling and data entry per policies.
