Job summary

Cornerstone Credit Union in Sterling, IL is seeking a friendly Member Service Representative to assist members with deposits, withdrawals, loan payments and inquiries. The role emphasizes accuracy, courtesy, cross-selling, and adherence to policy.

This 20-hour per week position includes Saturday morning shifts after competency is achieved, with weekday hours 8:45am–5:15pm. A HS diploma and basic PC skills are required; 401(k) with match and generous PTO are among the benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months experience in a customer service role with cash handling.
• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be service-minded and punctual with strong attendance.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel & Outlook; basic PC skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Balance cash drawer and handle routine member transactions.
• Process deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments and checks.
• Cross-sell services to improve member finances.
• Respond to member inquiries in a timely, friendly manner.
• Maintain lobby appearance and manage member flow to representatives.
