Job summary

Oak Street Health is seeking a Medical Scribe to support primary care providers by documenting patient encounters in real-time, enabling clinicians to focus on care. You will join in exam rooms, assist with CPT/ICD-10 coding, and help prepare After Visit Summaries as part of a dedicated care team.

Ideal candidates commit to 1–2 years, have healthcare exposure, and thrive in a fast-paced clinical setting. The role is full-time with a typical 40–45 hour week at clinic hours, in-person at Oak

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical terminology and common medications.
• Fluency in Spanish, Polish, Russian, or other languages spoken by communities served.
• Ability to adapt to new workflows and learn quickly.

Responsibilities

• Document patient encounters in structured notes, including HPI, assessment, plan, and ROS.
• Assign CPT and ICD-10 codes; prepare After Visit Summaries.
• Administrative support for the provider and care team; other duties as assigned.
