Job summary

Minivasive Pain and Orthopedics is seeking a full-time Medical Receptionist to greet patients, manage appointments, and support both clinical and administrative tasks. The role involves updating EMR demographics, handling calls, and ensuring accurate patient records.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or GED, a valid Texas driver’s license, and strong computer skills (Outlook/Word/Excel). Prior authorization and insurance verification experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid Texas Driver’s License.
• Strong computer skills with MS Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Excellent customer service and phone etiquette.
• Understanding of HIPAA and patient privacy regulations.
• Ability to travel between facilities if needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients, doctors, staff and visitors to ensure smooth operations.
• Greet patients and provide information as they arrive.
• Help patients complete forms and verify demographics in EMR.
• Update patient information and maintain accurate records.
• Keep appointments on schedule and notify providers of arrivals.
• Answer phones, route calls and respond to inquiries.
• Maintain patient accounts and update personal and financial data.
• Schedule, reschedule, and coordinate patient appointments.
• Coordinate mail flow and keep reception area neat and stocked.
