Job summary

Minivasive Pain and Orthopedics is seeking a full-time Medical Receptionist to join our Houston-area outpatient clinic. You will greet patients, answer phones, schedule appointments, and manage patient records in the EMR system.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or GED, and a valid Texas driver’s license. Strong customer service, communication skills, and HIPAA knowledge are essential. Finish with a background check and drug screening as required.

Qualifications

• Minimal higher education required; high school diploma or GED acceptable.
• Familiarity with EMR and HIPAA privacy rules preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in records.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients, doctors, office staff, and visitors for smooth clinic operations.
• Schedule and manage appointments; greet patients upon arrival and provide information.
• Assist patients with forms and ensure accurate demographics in EMR.
• Update patient information in EMR and related records.
• Keep appointments on schedule by notifying providers of arrivals.
• Answer phones, route calls, and respond to inquiries.
• Maintain patient accounts with updated personal and financial data.
• Call patients to remind them of upcoming appointments.
• Coordinate mail flow and maintain a organized reception area.
