Job summary

Lancaster Family Health Center in Salem, OR is seeking a Medical Receptionist to serve as the friendly first point of contact for patients. You will greet visitors, collect data, schedule appointments, and support care teams to keep the clinic running smoothly.

This 1.0 FTE role offers competitive pay ($18.62–$22.81/hour DOE), full benefits, bilingual English/Spanish opportunities, and paid time off.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED.
One year's experience as a Receptionist in a clinic preferred.
Bilingual English/Spanish required at a level 9.
Ability to prioritize work and handle multiple tasks with interruptions.
Professional interaction with patients, Providers and staff.
Basic knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare billing Insurance.
Proficiency with Outlook, Word, Excel.

Responsibilities

Answer the phone and route calls; take messages as needed.
Greet patients and maintain logs; translate as needed.
Register patients and update data in the computer.
Schedule appointments per guidelines and notify Providers of no-shows/cancellations.
Verify insurance eligibility and file documentation; assist with questions.
Address inquiries via in-person, phone, or patient portal.
Assist with routine billing and reconcile cash receipts.
Perform other duties as assigned.
