Job summary

River Valley Family Health Centers seeks a Medical Spanish Interpreter to join our Montrose clinic. This full-time role provides translation services and advocacy for patients, helping them complete medical and related forms while coordinating with staff.

Expect to travel between clinics and support social determinants of health. The position requires a High School diploma, Medical Spanish certification preferred, and at least one year of interpreting experience in ambulatory care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Medical Spanish certification preferred; willingness to obtain within 1 year.
• At least 1 year interpreting experience in ambulatory health care.
• Completion of an approved CNA/Medical Assistant program with licensure preferred.
• Active BLS certification is required.
• Demonstrates cultural sensitivity with diverse populations.
• Knowledge of safety and clinical standards.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between clinics.

Responsibilities

• Interpret verbal communication between staff and Spanish-speaking patients.
• Translate written educational materials per guidelines.
• Follow up with patients to complete medical and related forms.
• Document and track services provided.
• Connect patients with community resources as needed.
