Christ Health Center is seeking a Bilingual Billing Customer Service Specialist to assist patients with medical bills, insurance claims, and payments. You will liaise with providers, insurers, and internal billing teams to resolve inquiries promptly.

Qualifications

• Bilingual ability in English and Spanish, strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Respond to patient inquiries regarding medical bills, balances, payments, insurance claims, and statements.
• Explain charges, benefits, deductibles, copayments, and patient financial responsibility clearly.
• Research and resolve billing discrepancies and payment issues.
• Review insurance claim info and help identify processing or payment problems.
• Communicate with insurance companies and internal departments to resolve billing concerns.
• Process patient payments and document account activity accurately.
• Assist patients with payment arrangements and financial assistance options.
• Maintain thorough documentation of patient interactions and account activity.
• Protect patient information per HIPAA and privacy policies.
• Handle difficult interactions professionally with empathy.
• Escalate complex issues to appropriate department or supervisor.
• Meet standards for customer service, productivity, accuracy, and response times.
