Job summary

Christ Health Center is seeking a Bilingual Billing Customer Service Specialist to provide knowledgeable, compassionate, and timely support to patients regarding medical billing, insurance claims, account balances, and payment questions.

This role serves as a key contact between patients, healthcare providers, insurance companies, and internal billing teams, with a schedule of Monday–Friday 7:45 AM to 5:00 PM.

Qualifications

• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish required.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Respond to patient inquiries regarding medical bills, balances, payments and insurance claims.
• Explain billing charges and patient financial responsibility clearly.
• Research and resolve billing discrepancies and payment issues.
• Review insurance claim information and assist with processing or payment issues.
• Communicate with insurance companies and internal departments to resolve billing concerns.
• Process patient payments and document account activity accurately.
• Assist patients with payment arrangements and financial assistance options.
• Maintain accurate documentation of interactions and account activity.
• Protect patient information in accordance with HIPAA and privacy requirements.
