Cook County Government is seeking a Medical Assistant-Bilingual (Spanish) to join the Ambulatory and Community Health Network. Under a licensed physician, the MA supports clinical and administrative tasks in the PCMH model, collaborating with nurses and staff to ensure patient-centered care.

Shift schedule: Mon 10:00 am - 6:00 pm; Tue-Fri 8:30 am - 4:30 pm; occasional Saturdays 8:00 am - 4:00 pm. Posting salary: $24.119-$29.159 hourly. Closing date: Nov 5, 2026.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Five years of recent full-time professional Medical Assistant experience.
• Certification as Medical Assistant through AAMA/AMT/NHA/ARMA.

Responsibilities

• Obtain medical history and vital signs; document thoroughly.
• Prepare exam rooms and maintain cleanliness for visits.
• Assist with clerical tasks: phones, charts, lab reports and appointments.
• Perform phlebotomy and routine lab procedures as directed.
• Assist physicians with exams and administer medications as ordered.
• Document all administrations and immunizations accurately in records.
• Support referrals and coordinate follow-up care per provider orders.
