Job summary

This role requires certification, at least one year MA experience, CPR/BLS, EMR proficiency, and strong communication. You’ll engage with diverse patients, manage administrative tasks, and support coordination across the center.

Qualifications

• State or national MA certification or completion of an accredited MA program.
• At least 1 year of medical assistant experience.
• CPR or BLS certification.
• EMR experience required.
• Proficiency with Gmail, MS Word/Google Docs, and Excel.
• US work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Ensure an efficient patient flow; room patients in a timely manner, complete vital signs, complete required screenings and complete medication reviews
• Inventory supplies and stock exam rooms
• Respond to patient requests for telephonic support (Lab results, faxing records to specialists, etc.)
• May administer vaccinations and perform point of care tests as permitted by state regulations
• Import required documents into EMR via scanning or PDF upload
• Participate in care team meetings to discuss patient care and clinic operations
• Process orders for durable medical equipment
• Request medical records from external providers as required
• Conduct routine quality control checks including infection control measures and equipment
• Other duties as assigned
