Job summary

Little Spurs Pediatric Urgent Care in Farmers Branch is seeking a Bilingual Medical Assistant Float for the DFW East region. This seasonal, full-time role supports triage, exams, vaccines, and lab testing for pediatric patients in a fast-paced clinic.

Responsibilities include documenting care, ensuring safety protocols, and helping families feel at ease. Must be bilingual, with MA training and BLS certification, and able to work versatile shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical Assistant training or certification required.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Authorized to work in the United States and able to pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Triage pediatric patients and obtain accurate histories and vital signs.
• Assist providers with examinations and procedures with pediatric patients.
• Administer medications and vaccines per safety protocols.
• Perform CLIA-waived lab testing and quality control checks.
• Document care accurately and complete charts by shift end.
• Support efficient patient flow during high-volume periods.
• Communicate clearly with patients, families, and staff.
• Maintain a clean, safe clinical environment.

WhatYou’llDo

• Triage pediatric patients and obtainaccuratemedical histories and vital signs

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment

What We Need

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Medical Assistant education, certification, military medical experience, or other qualifying clinical training
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification
• Bilingual in English and Spanish
• Strong understanding of patient safety, clinical standards, and infection control
• Strong communicationand organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced pediatric clinical environment
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and rotating shifts
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Ability to successfully complete a background check

When We Operate

Clinic Hours:

• Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM–8:00 PM
• Saturday–Sunday: 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
• Flexible availability based on clinic needs
• Opportunity to travel to other Little Spurs clinics as needed
