Job summary

Humana Inc. is seeking a Medical Assistant to be the first point of contact for patients, handling both administrative duties and clinical tasks onsite. You will support physicians, perform vital signs, administer vaccines, and document in the EMR, with scope limited by certification.

Responsibilities

• Discuss symptoms, obtain vital signs, administer medications and vaccines.
• Perform phlebotomy, collect specimens, and conduct diagnostic screening tests.
• Sterilize and clean equipment, maintain examination rooms, and document information in EMR.
• Collaborate with Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers.
• Deliver direct patient care within active certification scope.
• Follow standard procedures and interpret policies to complete assignments.
• Prioritize tasks within defined parameters.
