Job summary

Humana / CenterWell in Miami is seeking a Medical Assistant to be the first point of contact, performing administrative and patient-care duties in a fast-paced clinic. The role involves direct patient interaction, charting, and teamwork with physicians and staff to maintain smooth operations.

You will assist with intake, discuss symptoms, obtain vital signs, administer vaccines, perform phlebotomy, collect specimens, and document patient information in the EMR to support high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of MA school/training or CMA/RMA with provider approval.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Phlebotomy experience and medication/vaccine administration experience.
• CPR certification.
• TB screening participation due to program requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient intake and discuss symptoms.
• Obtain vital signs and document accurately.
• Administer medications and vaccines as permitted.
• Perform phlebotomy and collect specimens.
• Conduct diagnostic screenings.
• Prepare and maintain exam rooms; sterilize equipment.
• Document patient information in the EMR.
• Support physicians and clinical staff to ensure efficient clinic operations.
