Tiburcio Vasquez Health Center, Inc. (TVHC) is seeking a Medical Assistant to support direct patient services and collaborate with Clinical services staff. The role emphasizes quality care and customer service in a patient-centered environment.

Full-time, 40 hours per week, mostly Monday–Friday with occasional Saturdays. TVHC offers comprehensive benefits and a competitive hourly wage under the CBA, with a strong focus on patient comfort and privacy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Clinical Medical Assistant certification required.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs day-to-day administrative functions and general office duties.
• Provides information to Clinic callers according to Clinic policies; transfers calls as needed.
• Welcomes and directs patients/visitors to appropriate person or department.
• Schedules patient flow to the clinic based on appointment arrangements.
• Screens patients for new address, new patient visits, or updated registration during scheduling.
• Maintains patient waiting areas, office files, and front-desk areas in an organized manner.
• Verifies payment methods and collects data or payment as appropriate.
• Maintains confidentiality and HIPAA compliance in all interactions.
