Job summary

Vista Community Clinic is seeking a qualified Medical Assistant to support clinicians across our multi-clinic network in southern California. You will prepare patients for exams, perform basic clinical tasks, and maintain electronic records with accuracy.

The role requires a CMA certificate, 6 months externship, bilingual English/Spanish, and current CPR/BLS certification. Phlebotomy experience is preferred. This is a full-time, on-site position with competitive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Clinical Medical Assistant Certificate with externship verification (6 months).
• Bilingual English/Spanish is required.
• Current CPR/BLS certification is required.
• Phlebotomy experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Print and review schedule daily for the day’s appointments.
• Prepare patients for examination and assist clinicians during exams/procedures.
• Take vitals, plot growth charts, and record immunizations.
• Assist with injections, venipuncture, and lab tests under supervision.
• Maintain electronic patient records and charges accurately.
• Provide translation as needed for clinician and patient.
• Ensure room readiness and equipment availability for patient care.
• Support patient education and health maintenance per clinician guidance.
