Vista Community Clinic is seeking a Clinical Medical Assistant to support physicians and clinicians in a busy outpatient setting on site in California.

You will take vitals, assist during examinations, administer immunizations, perform basic labs, and translate between English and Spanish. A CMA certificate, CPR/BLS, and phlebotomy experience are preferred; bilingual candidates are especially encouraged.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year back office experience in a clinical environment.
• Phlebotomy certification.
• Bilingual English/Spanish.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Clinical Medical Assistant Certificate with externship verification (6 months).
• Phlebotomy experience.

Responsabilités

• Prepare patients for examination and assist providers with the examination and/or procedure.
• Take vital signs, height and weight, plot growth charts, administer immunizations.
• Perform laboratory and screening tests typically done in a medical office (visual acuity, audiometric screening, Snellen tests, spirometry, EKGs).
• Provide counseling, care and follow-up instructions, health education and materials to patients as instructed by the provider.
