Job summary

Mosaic Health, LLC. seeks a Medical Assistant for our South Lakeland office to perform both clinical and administrative duties under physician supervision.

You will triage patients, draw blood, assist with procedures, and manage patient charts while ensuring timely check-in and effective communication with staff. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 1 year of MA experience, Athena EMR experience, and bilingual English/Spanish skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of Medical Assistant experience.
• 1 year of EMR experience (Athena preferred).
• Bilingual English/Spanish required.
• Completion of Medical Assistant Skills Assessment during interview process.

Responsibilities

• Triage patients and draw blood (venipuncture).
• Ensure patients are in exam room within 15 minutes of check-in.
• Scan patient documents into the system.
• Assist physicians with procedures and lab requests.
• Prepare patient charts 24 hours in advance.
• Answer patient messages and process refill requests promptly.
• Maintain organized and stocked medication, exam, and lab rooms.
• Perform routine lab tests and complete HEDIS measures.
• Coordinate patient flow and maintain records.
• Participate in quality improvement and continuing education; ensure compliance with safety standards.
