Job summary

Millennium Physician Group, LLC is seeking a Medical Assistant for our South Lakeland office. You will perform clinical and administrative tasks under physicians' supervision, support diagnostic procedures, administer medications, draw blood, and facilitate communication between patients and doctors to ensure smooth visits.

You will thrive in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment, handling in-person and phone inquiries, maintaining organized exam and lab areas, and adhering to safety

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of Medical Assistant experience.
• 1 year of Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience, Athena preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish required.

Responsibilities

• Triage patients and draw blood.
• Assist physicians with procedures and lab requests.
• Prepare patient charts 24 hours in advance.
• Scan patient documents into the EMR.
• Answer patient messages and process refill requests.
• Maintain stocked exam rooms and medications.
• Ensure patients are in exam rooms within 15 minutes of check-in.
• Coordinate patient flow and records.
• Support quality improvement and safety compliance.
