Job summary

Urban Health Plan is seeking a Medical Assistant to support providers across internal medicine, pediatrics, OB/GYN and other services. The role includes room preparation, patient intake, vital signs, and assisting during exams in a fully onsite setting in the Bronx and Corona, Queens.

The position requires a High School Diploma and Medical Assistant Certificate, 1 year healthcare experience, and bilingual English/Spanish.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and Medical Assistant Certificate required.
• 1 year of healthcare experience.
• Bilingual English and Spanish required.
• Flexible work schedule.
• Proficiency with computers and EHR.

Responsibilities

• Prepare examination rooms and sterilize instruments.
• Obtain vital signs, chief complaint, medical history in EMR.
• Assist providers during exams and treatments.
• Schedule appointments and recalls for required services.
• Maintain clinical logs (glucometers, room logs).
• Perform CLIA Waived testing and EKGs.
