Urban Health Plan is hosting a Holiday Hiring Event for Medical Assistants in Corona, NY. The role supports a range of services across internal medicine, pediatrics, OB/GYN and other specialties.

Bilingual English/Spanish is required and training will begin in January 2027. The position is full-time, on-site, with a schedule of 40 hours per week and competitive benefits including health insurance, life insurance, a 401(k) plan, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required and Medical Assistant Certificate from accredited program.
• 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting.
• Bilingual English and Spanish required.
• Flexible work schedule.
• Proficiency with computers and software; EHR experience a plus.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to multitask, support a team and work independently.
• Kindness, compassion, and patient-focused approach.

Responsabilités

• Prepare examination rooms, maintain inventory, and sterilize instruments.
• Obtain vital signs, chief complaint, medical history, and records in EMR.
• Assist providers during exams and with treatments.
• Maintain clinical logs including glucometers and room logs.
• Register and verify patient demographics.
• Perform CLIA Waived testing, EKGs, and other tests.
• Schedule appointments and recalls for required services.
