Urban Health Plan in Bronx, NY seeks a Medical Assistant to perform phlebotomy, prepare exam rooms, record vital signs and medical history, and assist clinicians during exams. The role includes scheduling, verifying insurance, and coordinating referrals as part of a patient-centered team.

The position is fully onsite with regular weekday hours, and offers comprehensive benefits. A Medical Assistant credential with CPT and bilingual English/Arabic ability are required to ensure effective patient

Qualifications

• Bilingual English/Arabic required.
• Strong computer literacy.
• Must be a responsible individual who genuinely wants to support patients.

Responsabilités

• Process blood draws, collect specimens and process lab orders.
• Prepare examination rooms and equipment.
• Obtain vital signs, chief complaints, medical history and accurately record in medical records.
• Complete referrals and discharge patients.
• Assist providers and nurses during exams.
• Assist provider with treatments.
• Schedule appointments and verify insurance and demographic information.
