Job summary

ENT and Allergy Associates of Florida in Tampa is seeking a combined Medical Assistant and Front Desk professional for a full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00–5:00 position at our Tampa office. The team provides ENT medical and surgical care with a patient-first focus.

A proactive, multitasking candidate with EMR/PM experience, insurance verification, and check-in procedures will thrive in our fast-paced environment while supporting all ENT and allergy services.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a medical practice.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a clear speaking voice.
• Ability to prioritize and handle a high volume of patients.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology.
• Strong computer literacy.
• Bilingual Spanish speaking is a MUST.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service to patients and guests.
• Answer multi-line phones.
• Greet patients, check in, collect insurance information and data.
• Provide intake and new patient forms and office policies.
• Process payments for co-pays and uninsured visits.
• Insurance verification.
• Call patients to remind of appointments and schedule tests.
• Provide patient support and guidance as needed.
• Take vitals.
• Prepare exam rooms.
• Assist physician in exams and procedures with proper consent.
• Sterilize instruments per CDC and ENTAAF guidelines.
• Brief each patient before physician enters the exam room.
