Job summary

Rite of Passage is hiring an ORR Medical Assistant at Sycamore Canyon Academy in Oracle, Arizona. Join a passionate team working to improve the lives of youth while supporting medical staff with daily clinic operations.

The role involves maintaining patient flow, assisting with documentation, coordinating transport between activities, and upholding safety and welfare of students and staff under supervision. Onsite housing and meals are available under the program.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Certification for Medical Assistant or Nurses Assistant required.
• For ORR programs, EMT, CNA or other acceptable medical related certifications are acceptable.
• Must meet requirements to be an eligible ROP driver; valid State Driver’s License and clean driving record for past 3 years.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical and TB test.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an efficient, organized medical office with daily administrative duties.
• Support medical staff and manage a steady flow of students seen by medical practitioners.
• Transport students between program activities, the Medical Clinic, and group living areas.
• Document medical information in student charts; assist with medical supply orders under supervision.
• Ensure safety, health, and welfare of staff and students; serve as a positive role model.

Education

High School diploma or equivalent

Certified Medical Assistant

EMT / CNA certifications acceptable
