Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Certification for Medical Assistant or Nurses Assistant required.
• For ORR programs, EMT, CNA or other acceptable medical related certifications are acceptable.
• Must meet requirements to be an eligible ROP driver; valid State Driver’s License and clean driving record for past 3 years.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical and TB test.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an efficient, organized medical office with daily administrative duties.
• Support medical staff and manage a steady flow of students seen by medical practitioners.
• Transport students between program activities, the Medical Clinic, and group living areas.
• Document medical information in student charts; assist with medical supply orders under supervision.
• Ensure safety, health, and welfare of staff and students; serve as a positive role model.

Rite of Passage Team is Hiring an ORR MEDICAL ASSISTANT at Sycamore Canyon Academy in Oracle, Arizona. Join a group of passionate advocates on our mission to improve the lives of youth!

What you’ll do: ORR Medical Assistant maintains an efficient and organized medical office by supporting medical staff with daily administrative duties, including filing, answering phones, and ensuring the Medical Clinic remains clean and orderly. The Medical Assistant helps maintain a consistent flow of students being seen by medical practitioners, monitors and supervises students waiting for medical services, and transports students between program activities, the Medical Clinic or Office, and group living areas. Responsibilities also include filing medical documentation in student medical charts and, under the direction of the Medical Manager or Medical Coordinator, documenting medical supply orders. The Medical Assistant ensures the safety, health, and welfare of staff and students at all times, provides encouragement, guidance, and resources as needed, and serves as a positive role model and mentor.

Minimum Qualifications To be considered for this opportunity, candidates must have:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Certification for Medical Assistant or Nurses Assistant required.
