Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent with a medical assistant certification or externship
• Fluent in English/Spanish; computer skills a plus
• Minimum of two years experience as a medical assistant in a health care setting
• Ability to lift and carry 20 lbs; stand/walk for extended periods
• Strong organizational and customer service skills
• Ability to follow instructions and learn new procedures quickly
• Ability to stay calm and accurate in fast-paced environment
• Team player with confidentiality and HIPAA knowledge
• Knowledge of serving American Indian community and diverse populations
• Ability to multitask and adapt to change

Responsabilidades

• Set up examining rooms and prepare patients for examination
• Perform routine back office clinical tasks incl. vital signs, basic labs, EKG
• Sterilize instruments and keep rooms clean
• Assist providers during scope exams or procedures
• Maintain data for monthly statistics and record keeping
• Assist with patient questionnaires and immunization workflow
• Track and reschedule patients as needed
• Adhere to HIPAA and privacy policies
• Contribute as a proactive member of a patient-centered health home
• Perform other duties as assigned
