La Familia Counseling Center in Hayward, CA is seeking a Medical Assistant to support urgent and primary care in a community health setting. You will room patients, take vitals, prep for exams, and assist providers while contributing to patient education and care coordination.

The role requires a Bachelor's in health science, a BLS certification, Spanish bilingual preference, and proficiency with EHR systems. A CA driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in health science or related field required.
• Current BLS certification required for clinical roles.
• Spanish bilingual preferred to support LEP patients.
• Experience with EHR/Practice Management systems.
• Valid CA driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, take vital signs, record medical histories.
• Assist providers during examinations and procedures.
• Provide health coaching and patient education.
• Support chronic disease management and care coordination.
