Job summary

USA Clinics Group is seeking a Medical Assistant for our Paramus, Passaic, Orange, and Union City clinics. You will greet and room patients, document vital signs, and support physicians during procedures, ensuring a smooth patient experience.

Responsibilities include phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, and specimen collection, with EMR data entry and care coordination. Bilingual Spanish/English required, high school diploma or equivalent and MA training preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1-2 years of hands-on clinical experience in a Medical Assistant role is required.
• Fluency in Spanish and English is required.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant training program and/or CMA/RMA/CCMA certification preferred.

• Greet, room, and assist patients upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming experience.
• Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, and other clinical data in EMR/EHR.
• Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, vaccinations, and specimen collection within scope of training.
• Document patient interactions accurately in EMR/EHR systems.
• Deliver exceptional patient service while managing high patient volume in a fast-paced clinic.
• Utilize EMR/EHR platforms such as Epic, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks.
• Support patient care across various healthcare settings and use bilingual communication when applicable.

Position Summary

As a Medical Assistant, you would balance the needs of patients and maintain efficient work flow of the office as well as provide support to the physician in all facets of medical procedures – before during and after. In addition, you would ensure that the patient has an excellent service experience.

Position Details

• Schedule: Monday-Sunday availability
• Locations: Paramus, Passaic, Orange, and Union City clinics
• Compensation: $21-$25/hr
• Paid training

Key Responsibilities

• Greet, room, and assist patients upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming and positive patient experience.
• Obtain and document patient vital signs, medical histories, and other clinical information in the electronic medical record (EMR/EHR).
• Perform clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, EKGs, injections/vaccinations, specimen collection, and other duties within scope of training and certification.
• Accurately document patient interactions and clinical information using EMR/EHR systems.
• Deliver exceptional patient service while managing a high volume of patient interactions in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Utilize EMR/EHR platforms such as Epic, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, or similar systems.
• Support patient care within a healthcare setting, including physician offices, clinics, urgent care centers, pharmacies, hospitals, or home health environments.
• Leverage bilingual communication skills to support patient interactions when applicable.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
• 1-2 years of hands-on clinical experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar direct patient care role (e.g., Medical Assistant externship, CNA, HHA, Nursing Assistant, or Patient Care Technician), required.
• Experience performing clinical duties such as vital signs, patient rooming, phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, and specimen collection, required.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant training program and/or current CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification preferred.
• Proven patient-facing or customer service experience in a fast-paced environment, required.
• Fluency in Spanish & English required
