Ensemble Health Partners is seeking a patient access specialist to interview uninsured/under-insured patients and determine Medicaid eligibility. The role involves coordinating applications, collecting documents, and ensuring timely submission and billing.

You will maintain records in patient accounting systems and collaborate with Medicaid partners and other revenue cycle teams. On-site work at Reading Hospital, with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in healthcare industry.
• Bilingual Spanish/English.
• Understanding of Revenue Cycle including admission, billing, payments and denials.
• Knowledge of patient insurance process for obtaining authorizations and benefits verification.
• Knowledge of Health Insurance requirements.
• Patient Access experience with managed care/insurance and Call Center experience highly preferred.
• Must be inquisitive and open to AI to explore better processes and ways to alleviate friction and improve patient and client experiences.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.

Responsabilités

• Reviewing uninsured/under-insured patients for program eligibility opportunities and coordinating the application process.
• Communicating with patients to obtain documents for the application.
• Following applications to determine insurance information and ensure timely billing or posting.
• Documenting all actions in assigned patient accounting systems.
• Maintaining knowledge of state and federal program requirements and sharing with colleagues.
• Developing relationships with Medicaid caseworkers and collaborating with revenue cycle departments.
• Other duties as assigned.
