Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Open and maintain shipment files with complete and accurate documentation.
• Monitor air import shipments from arrival to final delivery and provide status updates to customers and overseas agents.
• Verify cargo arrival information and coordinate with customs brokers for timely clearance.
• Coordinate with airlines, cargo terminals, ground handlers, trucking companies, bonded warehouses, CFS facilities, and other logistics partners.
• Arrange pickups and final deliveries and monitor shipments to meet service commitments.
• Communicate delays, documentation discrepancies, customs issues, and other operational matters with customers.
• Assist with reviewing shipment documentation and records per procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Support resolution of customer, carrier, and vendor issues with professional communication.
• Prepare transport and shipment reports to support accurate customer billing.
• Maintain accurate shipment status in logistics management systems.
• Learn bonded cargo and import-related processes as applicable.
• Collaborate with colleagues and managers to support daily operations.

Overview: Join our team as a Logistics Specialist/Air Import Operations Coordinator, where you'll be pivotal in ensuring the timely movement of shipments and maintaining efficient communication with clients and overseas agents. Your attention to detail and proactive approach will be instrumental in meeting key performance indicators (KPIs) and optimizing our logistics processes.

The Air Import Operations Coordinator will support the efficient movement and importation of shipments while ensuring timely delivery, accurate documentation, regulatory compliance, and a high level of customer service. The role will provide hands-on exposure to shipment coordination, customs clearance, air cargo operations, transportation, and international logistics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Open and maintain shipment files in the designated logistics system, ensuring information and documentation are complete and accurate.
• Monitor air import shipments from arrival through final delivery and provide timely status updates to customers and overseas agents.
• Verify cargo arrival information and coordinate with customs brokers to facilitate timely customs clearance.
• Coordinate with airlines, cargo terminals, ground handlers, trucking companies, bonded warehouses, CFS facilities, and other logistics partners to support the efficient movement of freight.
• Arrange pickups and final deliveries and monitor shipments to ensure service commitments are met.
• Communicate proactively with customers regarding shipment delays, documentation discrepancies, customs issues, and other operational matters.
• Assist with reviewing and maintaining shipment documentation and records in accordance with company procedures and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Assist with resolving customer, carrier, and vendor issues while maintaining professional and effective communication.

Job Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year of Air Import operations experience is highly preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive with strong organization skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and computer skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with Cargowise is a plus.
• Previous experience in freight forwarding is highly preferred.
• Fluent English is required; proficiency in Mandarin/Chinese required.
