Ascendo-Resources is seeking two detail-oriented Bilingual Logistics Coordinators to manage ocean freight shipments from booking through vessel loading and departure in Jacksonville, FL. Ideal candidates have hands-on ocean shipping experience, strong Excel skills, and can communicate effectively with customers, trucking companies, terminals, and vendors.

Spanish/English bilingual candidates are strongly preferred, especially those with experience coordinating shipments between the United States

Qualifications

• Understanding of full ocean shipment lifecycle (booking, pickup, dispatch, terminal delivery, vessel loading, tracking).
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills (sorting, filtering, reconciling data).
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate ocean freight shipments from initial booking through vessel loading and departure.
• Arrange and track cargo pickups, trucking dispatch, terminal deliveries, and shipment status updates.
• Communicate with trucking companies, terminals, vendors, and customers to ensure timely freight movement.
• Monitor shipment milestones and resolve delays, documentation issues, and transportation disruptions.
• Maintain accurate shipment records, cargo tracking information, and logistics reports.
• Use Microsoft Excel to manage spreadsheets, sort and filter shipment data, reconcile records, and track cargo movements.
• Assist with billing activities, vendor invoices, accounts payable/receivable, and accessorial charges.
• Provide timely shipment updates to customers and internal teams.
• Manage multiple shipments in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Bilingual Logistics Coordinator

Location: Jacksonville, FL 32211
Salary: $50,000–$55,000 annually
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM

Position Overview

We are seeking two detail-oriented Logistics Coordinators to manage ocean freight shipments and coordinate transportation activities from booking through vessel loading and departure. Ideal candidates will have hands-on ocean shipping experience, strong organizational skills, excellent Excel capabilities, and the ability to communicate effectively with customers, trucking companies, terminals, and vendors.

Spanish/English bilingual candidates are strongly preferred, particularly those with experience coordinating shipments between the United States and Puerto Rico.

Required Qualifications

• Previous hands-on ocean freight shipping coordination experience.
• Understanding of the full ocean shipment lifecycle, including booking, pickup coordination, dispatch, terminal delivery, vessel loading, and tracking.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including sorting, filtering, and reconciling shipment records.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Experience coordinating with transportation providers, terminals, vendors, and customers.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual in Spanish and English.
• Experience coordinating shipments between the United States and Puerto Rico.
• Experience with freight billing, accounts payable/receivable, vendor invoices, and accessorial charges.
• Background in ocean freight forwarding, shipping, transportation, or international logistics.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The strongest candidates will have direct ocean freight coordination experience rather than exclusively domestic trucking or general warehouse experience. Candidates should understand how to move a shipment from booking through vessel loading, coordinate pickups and terminal appointments, track cargo, resolve delays, and maintain accurate Excel records.

Spanish-speaking candidates with U.S.–Puerto Rico shipping experience are especially desirable.

Compensation and Work Schedule

• Annual salary: $50,000–$55,000.
• Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM.
• Full-time, onsite position in Jacksonville, Florida.
