Job summary

Morgan & Morgan, P.A. is seeking a paralegal assistant to support an attorney handling workers’ compensation claims from intake through resolution. The role requires excellent organization, attention to detail, strong client service, and bilingual English/Spanish communication.

Responsibilities include case openings, filings, medical records, client intake, and maintaining accurate documentation in Litify. This is a full-time office role with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Experience in workers’ compensation or PI preferred.
• Proficient with MS Office/Excel, and PDF tools.
• Excellent organization, detail, communication, and time management.
• HS diploma required; paralegal certificate or associate’s preferred.

Responsibilities

• Open new matters; maintain electronic and physical files, verify employer, carrier/TPA, and adjuster; document accident facts and body parts.
• Manage parties and contacts; download/upload from ICMS into Litify; upload, scan, label, and file documents.
• Prepare/serve ICMS filings (COA, 108A, 108B, 102C); calendar and track deadlines and mediations.
• Request, pay for, and track medical records/bills; maintain logs and follow-ups; build medical chronology and notes.
• Conduct intake interviews; gather employment, wage, and treatment details; maintain status notes and next steps.
• Notify client of appointments, mediations, medical visits, and IMEs; coordinate approvals and required signatures; ensure confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
