Job summary
Kanner & Pintaluga, a Houston-based law firm, is seeking a bilingual (English/Spanish) Legal Assistant to support attorneys and a litigation paralegal in handling ongoing cases under Texas Rules of Civil Procedure.
You will manage medical records, draft documents, e-file in the Texas portal, coordinate with clients and experts, maintain calendars, and assist with depositions, trials, and conferences. Proficiency in Office apps and willingness to assist non-English speakers are valued.
Qualifications
- Must be able to work with attorneys and staff in a bilingual environment.
- Experience with client communication preferred.
- Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and PDF software.
Responsibilities
- Review and organize medical records and liens.
- Draft legal documents for attorney review.
- Coordinate with clients and opposing counsel.
- E-file documents in Texas E-portal.
- Maintain attorney's calendar.
- Interpret for non-English speakers if capable.
- Enter witnesses/contacts in case management.
- Prepare notebooks for depositions, mediations, trials.
