Job summary

San Diego Volunteer Lawyer Program, Inc. seeks a Floater Legal Administrative Assistant to support Staff Attorneys at restraining order clinics.

You will provide coverage across SDVLP locations, screen applicants, assist in client services, and maintain accurate records. Responsibilities include coordinating volunteer schedules, recruiting and training volunteers, scheduling trainings, translating for clients, and traveling to court or clinics as needed.

Qualifications

• Fluency in Spanish and English is required.
• Strong Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint skills are required.
• At least 6 months of general office administration experience is required.
• Must have dependable transportation and a clean driving record with valid license/insurance.
• Associate degree is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide coverage and support at SDVLP locations across San Diego County.
• Screen applicants to determine eligibility and conduct client intake.
• Assist in providing client services and maintain program records.
• Coordinate volunteer schedules and assist in recruitment and training.
• Schedule presentations and trainings; translate/interprete for clients as appropriate.
• Travel to/from court for filing documents and delivering to the Sheriff or clinic.
• Engage in other tasks to further SDVLP’s mission.
