Job summary

San Diego Volunteer Lawyer Program, Inc. seeks a part-time Staff Attorney to support restraining order clinics and the program serving low-income San Diegans. You will provide legal advice, draft orders, and supervise pro bono attorneys across multiple SDVLP locations.

The role involves mentoring volunteers, community outreach, and maintaining a small case load within restraining order matters, while collaborating with partner staff and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Must be a member in good standing of the California Bar.
• Experience mentoring pro bono attorneys preferred.
• Ability to travel to SDVLP clinics throughout San Diego County.

Responsibilities

• Provide coverage at SDVLP locations across San Diego County.
• Advise clients and prepare self-represented litigants for hearings.
• Draft restraining orders for self-represented litigants and represent clients in hearings.
