Job summary

Bethany Christian Services seeks a Lead Medical Coordinator to supervise medical staff, coordinate pediatric and migrant health services, and ensure timely care for youth in our refugee programs.

The role requires RN licensure (or equivalent health qualification), strong confidential record handling, and the ability to train teams. This on-site position emphasizes compassionate care, regulatory compliance, and collaborative community partnerships.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year in public health or healthcare with care coordination or health administration.
• Licensed RN with a bachelor’s degree, OR PA/NP qualification.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; strong customer service.
• Able to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
• Must be at least 21 years old, valid US driver’s license, 3+ years driving in the US.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Medical Coordinators and train staff on pediatric and migrant health topics.
• Develop and maintain policies for confidential health records and triage.
• Schedule and transport youth to medical appointments within timeframes.
• Maintain medical files in Program Portal and ensure records are updated.
• Prepare treatment authorization requests to Point Comfort Underwriters.
• Serve as subject matter expert for Point Comfort Underwriters Insurance.
• Provide resources and reports upon discharge.
• Ensure documentation compliance with agency, state licensing, and program.
• May participate in on-call to assist shelter staff after hours.
