Job summary

Elara Caring is seeking a dedicated Special Care Aide in Downers Grove for part-time, PRN, on-call shifts. You will lead a team of caregivers and deliver hands-on personal care to clients at home, reporting to the Care Team Supervisor. A sign-on bonus up to $1,300 is available, with a pay range of $20–$21 per hour based on experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years providing care to elderly and/or disabled individuals in home/healthcare settings.
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs. and move intermittently.
• Strong communication skills and professional demeanor.
• Reliable transportation and flexible, organized approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on personal care (bathing, grooming, oral hygiene, dressing).
• Assist with meal and snack preparation and general housekeeping.
• Monitor client condition and report changes to plan of care.
• Maintain accurate documentation and time sheets; report to supervisor.
