Job summary

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools seeks a bilingual language acquisition facilitator to lead the International Center’s ESL initiatives. You will plan, facilitate, and evaluate Title III activities and ensure alignment with Board policies under the Executive Director of Learning and Language Acquisition.

Responsibilities include data collection, ELP reporting, enrollment support, and collaboration with family and school partners to serve language minority students across the district.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education with ESL emphasis.
• Three years of ESL teaching experience.
• Proficiency in English and another language (Spanish preferred).

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all state, federal, and local laws, policies, and procedures.
• Collaborate with Multilingual Learner Family & Community Engagement Specialist to plan, facilitate, and evaluate the operations of the International Center.
• Interpret student data reports and recommend appropriate Language Instruction Educational Program for language minority students.
• Support the Learning and Language Acquisition Department in collecting and maintaining ELP data.
• Collaborate with Family Center staff to support enrollment and lottery processes for language minority students.
• Collaborate with CMS departments to maintain federal/state/local ELP data and generate reports.
• Ensure ML data integrity in Power School and NC DPI databases for LEP/immigrant counts and related reports.
• Assist schools and departments in obtaining accurate ELP data.
• Respond to data requests from CMS departments.
• Carry out IC functions including enrollment, ELP testing, transcript evaluations, and parent communications.
