Job summary

Big Island Candies in Hilo seeks a full-time bilingual cashier customer service representative fluent in Japanese for our retail location. You will greet customers, help with product questions, and provide outstanding service to every guest.

Duties include operating the POS system, processing sales and returns, stocking shelves, communicating with other departments, and staying flexible to scheduled hours, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Fluent in Japanese; strong verbal and written communication.
• Experience in cashiering or retail customer service preferred.
• Ability to operate POS system and handle sales transactions accurately.

Responsibilities

• Greet arriving customers with a warm welcome; assist shoppers with product questions and services.
• Help resolve customer concerns in a professional, positive manner.
• Maintain open lines of communication with employees and other departments; report issues to Managers.
• Operate Point-Of-Sale computer for all sales and return transactions; process in-store sales orders for pickup and mail orders.
• Replenish store and stockroom with inventory; maintain accurate counts; stock merchandise neatly.
• Assist with other store-related activities as needed; be adaptable and flexible.
• Other duties as assigned or required.
