Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
• Bilingual and/or Biliterate (Spanish), preferred but not required.
• Must meet one or more of the following: Associates degree or higher; 72 credits or 48 credits; Passing ETS paraeducator assessment.
• Prior paraeducator experience or related experience preferred but not required.
• Experience with students with behavioral needs is preferred but not required.
• Valid First aid and/or CPR for infants/children, or willing to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Administers first aid to provide emergency care.
• Provide one-on-one or group instruction and support.
• Assist with classroom management and material preparation.
• Support supervision of students during arrival, dismissal, recess, meals, and transit.
• Report misconduct and assist with safety procedures as directed by staff.
• Assist with tests and assessment administration as directed by teachers.
• Maintain accurate student records in the district systems.
• Translate information for students/parents if bilingual.
• Participate in district meetings and distribute materials as needed.
• Assist with supervision to ensure a safe learning environment.
