Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Candidate may have an Associate degree or 72 college credits or higher.
• Pass Educational Testing Service paraeducator assessment.

Responsibilities

• Use CPI techniques and follow BIPs to de-escalate behaviors.
• Assist with personal care needs, ensuring safety and dignity.
• Deliver academic and social-emotional instruction under direction.
• Provide one-on-one or small group support and supervision.
• Maintain routines to support emotional safety and engagement.
• Administer first aid when needed and report incidents.
• Assist with classroom materials, setup, and lesson preparation.
• Provide supervision during arrival/departure and assist mobility.
• Report misconduct and assist with safety and district policies.
• Attend required paraeducator trainings and complete annual hours.
