ACCEL Schools is seeking an Instructional Aide at Lorain Bilingual Academy in Lorain, Ohio. The role supports the Teacher with classroom activities, helps maintain a positive climate, and assists with student safety and school mission.

The starting hourly rate is $16.00/hour. Benefits include paid time off, retirement contributions, and basic life and AD&D insurance, with short- and long-term disability options. A two-year college coursework or associate degree and a BCI/FBI check are encouraged.

Formación

• Associate degree or two years of college coursework.
• MS Office proficiency.
• BCI/FBI background check required.
• Ability to meet educational standards and deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Physical ability to lift 25–40 lbs.
• Experience in a school or social services setting is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Supports lessons taught by the teacher to individual students or groups of students and follows instructional plans as assigned by the Teacher or School Leader.
• Helps plan classroom activities as directed by the Teacher and supports the Teacher in all student and parent relations.
• Assists with school activities, including parent-faculty nights, faculty meetings, assemblies, commencements, fundraisers, chaperoning, guidance for students, and committee participation.
• Performs clerical duties, including grading papers and making copies.
• Assists the Teacher in the use of classroom technology.
• Maintains cleanliness of the classroom, lunchroom and other school areas.
• Understands and implements the school’s philosophy and mission in all activities.
• Other duties as assigned (field trips, morning/dismissal/lunch duties).
• Works cooperatively with the Teacher and administrators and contributes to a positive climate.
