Job summary

Lorain Bilingual Academy, part of ACCEL Schools, is seeking an Instructional Aide to support the classroom teacher, promote positive student behavior, and help oversee safety and a productive climate in Lorain, Ohio.

Ideal candidates have an associate degree or equivalent, basic MS Office skills, and the ability to lift up to 40 lbs. The role offers benefits including PTO, retirement contributions, life and disability insurance.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent required; Paraprofessional’s Exam accepted.
• Proficiency in MS Office and basic computer skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage tasks under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Assist with classroom activities and follow instructional plans.
• Support teachers and students in academics and extracurriculars.
• Help with clerical duties and use of classroom technology.
• Maintain classroom and lunchroom cleanliness and safety.
• Support school activities and events as needed.
