Job summary

ACCEL Schools in Columbus, Ohio, is seeking an Instructional Aide for Columbus Bilingual Central, opening Fall 2025. The role supports teachers, promotes positive student behaviors, and helps maintain a safe, productive classroom environment.

You will assist with lessons, plan activities, support events, perform clerical tasks, and help with classroom technology while upholding the school’s PBIS framework and mission.

Qualifications

• Associate degree, two years of college coursework, or the passage of the Paraprofessional’s Exam completed.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Successful completion of BCI/FBI check.
• Ability to meet educational standards and deadlines.
• Ability to handle confidential information.
• High quality written and verbal communication skills.
• Physical ability to lift 25-40 lbs.
• Experience in a school or social services setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Teacher with lessons and support student groups.
• Help plan classroom activities and support parent relations.
• Support school activities and volunteer events.
• Perform clerical duties such as grading papers and copying.
• Assist with classroom technology.
• Help maintain cleanliness of classroom and lunchroom.
• Adhere to school philosophy and policies.
• Take on additional duties like field trips and duty shifts.
