Job summary

Diocese of Youngstown Catholic Cemeteries is seeking a Family Service Advisor to help families with funeral arrangements in a faith-based setting. You will guide families, discuss options, and provide compassionate support throughout the process.

The role emphasizes consultative conversations, autonomy within a supportive team, and working across the full arc of a family’s journey in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years in a face-to-face sales role with customers.
• Experience in a Catholic environment preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with compassionate care.
• Highly organized, detail oriented and good time management.
• Proficient with computers, software and technology.

Responsibilities

• Guide families through the Order of Christian Funerals with empathy.
• Walk families through options; balance accompaniment with arrangement.
• Work autonomously while being supported by a team.
• Be present across the full arc of a family’s journey from meetings to committals.

• Interest in working in a Catholic environment, all backgrounds welcome to apply
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, displaying compassionate care, both in person and on the telephone
• Highly organized, detail oriented, and excellent time management skills
• Proficient in the use of computers, software, and technology
• Bilingual in Spanish, preferred
