Northeast Valley Health Corporation is seeking an Information and Referral Clerk to handle incoming calls for appointments and messages, ensuring clear, timely, and culturally sensitive communication with patients and caregivers. The ideal candidate will be fluent in English and Spanish, possess strong computer skills, and maintain dependable, high-volume call handling in a fast-paced health center

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and electronic health record and database systems.
• Ability to manage 90+ calls per day with high proficiency.
• Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing).
• Fluent in Spanish (speaking, reading, writing) required.
• Culturally sensitive and professional communication with diverse patients and staff.
• Excellent listening and clear communication with diverse cultures and lifestyles.
• Dependable, reliable, and willing to take on varied tasks and follow directions.
• California driver’s license with acceptable driving record if driving on job.
• Willing to work a varied, flexible schedule to meet patient needs.
• Typing speed of 40 WPM.
• Remote work possible under Telecommute Agreement if requirements are met.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls to schedule/reschedule/cancel/transfer appointments or relay health center messages.
• Ensure accurate, timely communications for patients, caregivers, and staff.
